  • Ernie said he had trouble sleeping last night.  I wasn't experiencing this particular problem.   Anyways, he got up and something told him to go out to the barn.  When he came in he said there had been two new lambs born just around midnight.  So he dried them off and set up the warming lamp.  When he came back in he told me and said "my shepherd's senses were tingling!"  Which cracked me up because we ususually say our spidey senses are tingling when we have a feeling something is going to happen, lol.

Then this morning he went to the barn to feed the whole lot and there were two more lambs.  They look like they're all ram lambs, but I'll have to double check later.  I did the iodine on thier cords, gave them thier lamb saver and cleaned up placentas off the straw.  They are all up and walking around and being silly.  Two of them are already running and butting heads, lol.  To me this stuff never gets boring.

I also got to take the horse out and let him graze a bit on the new grass and do his silly stuff.  He cracks me up.  I'm sorry I never have my camera ready when he's rolling on his back.  God is that a spectacle.

  • LAMBS!!!

March28oneMammieLouiseLeonardOk, I'll be back.  Letting hubby use the puter.  I'll make a real post later. With lamb pictures

These are pictures of Mama licking off a minutes old lamb.  His name is Leonard.  The littler ewe lamb is Louise and the larger darker one is Thelma.  They are doing well, thier little tails are beginning to get fat from Mama milk.

  • Just for Warweasel...

Well just for you warweasel I had a talk with one of the ewes and she went ahead and had 3 nice little lambies JUST FOR YOU!!

Here is a cellphone picture of one of them, there are 2 ewe lambs and 1 ram lamb. I named them Thelma, Louise and Leonard.  That will probably change once the kids get a hold of things, lol.

  • A short update...

Chase has been having much better days lately.  I hope that this is a trend that will continue times infinity.

No lambs have been born yet.  We do have a couple ewes that are showing signs of impending lambing though.  They are getting enlarged udders and gestation days are adding up.

Emma is continuing with her Future Soldier workouts.  She is entering the Army as soon as she graduates and 'makes tape'.  I get flop-sweats over this at times.

George is helping to run the 4-H livestock club, play little league and helping around the house/farm.

    So in summation.

    Life is good!

  • Chase does have an IEP and we just had a meeting last Friday.  They said he has met his goals and they really have no other behaviour goals for him.  They said that they are now working on career goals for him.  They didn't want to discharge him entirely from special ed because of him transitioning into high school next year.  I told them I felt that he still definitely needed to have the IEP in place and the special ed services as he went through high school.  Especially since adolescence is such a rough time for an unaffected child to begin with and especially for a kid like Chase with AUTISM.

I really don't think that they have a fucking clue.  E and myself are considering speaking to a lawyer about suing to get them to provide, at no cost to us, a person to stay with Chase in the hallways and lunchroom or anywhere else this harrassment has happened.  If they won't provide one then we will sue for the cost of paying someone to go about with him.

They were going to forgo his psych eval because he "met his goals and is such a wonderful boy"  Once again I had to verbalize my desire to have him screened for depression at the least.  I don't think they are providing very well for my son and it distresses me greatly to say the very least.

  • Chase gets kicked in the rear at school.

    Chase's fist meets jerks nose.

    Blood ensues.

    Chase gets OSS until Thursday.

    I'm sick of this poop.

I told Chase the next time to say he didn't hit the kid, as it seems to work for the kids that are teasing him to say they didn't.

    Check please...

We are really tired of Chase getting picked on. He won't bring money to school or eat lunch because he gets picked on. He goes all day without eating.

I am soooo angry. Chase gets suspended for defending himself and those little miscreant inbred nothings have nothing happen to them.

Yes. Chase is fat. Does he deserve to be picked on or physically abused? No.

He feels that he let people down. He refused to tell the principal what happened. I told him that he let no one down. They let him down by not insuring his safety. They know he is autistic and has issues. WTF are they letting him unprotected in the lunchroom.

I'm so upset for my baby.

  • How have I been doing?

We've been doing ok.  I'm getting used to being at home again.  Happy that I can get more organized and be a part of the kids lives again.  It seems like I missed so much being on night shift for 5 years.  I'm making sure that FIL is getting good care too.  Ernie is still looking for a job.  He has had a couple of interviews, but no call backs.  He is going to try an agency in the next couple weeks.  We both want to go back to school.  I'm going to be trying distance learning with course modules that will allow me to take exams and such at my own pace.  All towards my RN.  That would allow me to work pretty much anywhere, including rehab settings, that I like.  Ernie is wanting to take courses to get his Ultrasound Tech certificate.  Emma is pretty well set on entering the Army with the goal of being in Army Intelligence.  I'm excited for her, Ernie is having a lot of trouble with his little girl being so adult about it all.  She knows what she wants and is pursuing it.  Thank God she seems to be on the straight and narrow for now.  Chase and George are having some minor issues with learning to communicate effectively with us regarding school issues before they become "issues", lol.  But day by day we are doing better.   All of us.

  • Xanga, stop trying to be Facebook or MySpace...will ya?

Or at least offer us the choice of the new look or the better older format.

    What fucking ever.

After I finish bitching here I'm off to clean crap off of Grandpa's crapper.

    E. still hasn't landed a job yet.  I have made the decision that in six months I'm going to start online courses for my RN.  Should be interesting, at least I'll have some additional mental stimulation.  Besides, when I get my RN I'll be able to work pretty much anywhere they want nurses.  That is a positive thing.  It's too bad that the medical community tends to look down thier noses at LPN's.  I've seen some RN's that scared the shit out of me with thier inabilities coupled with just being plain stupid.

Hugs, and kisses to anyone reading!

  • Howdy~

I switched my cell phone provider since the one I had was basically worthless.  I would attempt 4 or 5 times to make a call at home and have the call dropped EVERY try.  So now I have a new plan, and a neat "free" phone.  So here is a short video clip with sound of Otis, lol.
