Ernie said he had trouble sleeping last night. I wasn't experiencing this particular problem.
Anyways, he got up and something told him to go out to the barn. When he came in he said there had been two new lambs born just around midnight. So he dried them off and set up the warming lamp. When he came back in he told me and said "my shepherd's senses were tingling!"
Which cracked me up because we ususually say our spidey senses are tingling when we have a feeling something is going to happen, lol.
Then this morning he went to the barn to feed the whole lot and there were two more lambs. They look like they're all ram lambs, but I'll have to double check later. I did the iodine on thier cords, gave them thier lamb saver and cleaned up placentas off the straw. They are all up and walking around and being silly. Two of them are already running and butting heads, lol.
To me this stuff never gets boring.
I also got to take the horse out and let him graze a bit on the new grass and do his silly stuff. He cracks me up. I'm sorry I never have my camera ready when he's rolling on his back. God is that a spectacle. ![]()
